Ten years in the making, The Avenue, Wellington’s freshest supergroup bringing the highest quality entertainment throughout New Zealand has arrived on the scene. Pulling all of your dance-floor favourites together from an extensive pool of genres and eras, The Avenue is something for everyone and so much more.
With music ranging from mo-town to classic rock favourites to the bangers we all get stuck in our heads each summer…
Featuring Ed Zuccollo (Trinity Roots), Sam Notman (Thomas Oliver Band) and fronted by Superbad Soul Section’s powerhouse vocalist Katie McCarthy-Burke and many others.
A four-piece band hailing from Hawkes Bay and Auckland, New Zealand.
New to the scene this quartet has been making waves across New Zealand. With roots in Bluegrass, their upbeat sound is an outstanding addition to what is already a stellar line-up for The Enchanted Forest Ball!
Hailing from the cinematic universe Mr Mime is a medium between all that is around us and the world that is inside of him. He travels the globe in search of sonic and visual art that he connects with and understands. No rules. No judgement. Just light, love and sound.
The Enchanted Forest Ball catering will differ from the standard style of sit down catering usually served up at a ball. We have two of Hawke’s Bay’s best caterers serving a selection of made to order food as the evening rolls out. Each person will be able to order and receive fare when they are ready for it. The catering will be available all night, to eat at your own convenience in a street style service.
There will be lounging areas where you can sit to eat, or you can stand and enjoy the delicious food on offer. The catering will be served throughout the evening by Piku and Hugo Chang’s.
Piku is an Izakaya (gastropub) style Japanese concept, operating as a Restaurant out of Red Barrel Winery for summer. They serve fresh and exciting modern Japanese cuisine inspired by the London Japanese scene.
Hugo Chang is a collaborative clash of East meets West. They offer a Dim Sum style menu with delicious eats including dumplings, cha siu bao, and traditional springrolls. To compliment the eats they have got your drinks covered too. They pride themselves on an extensive cocktail menu, craft beer and wine list. Hugo Chang is the perfect hole in the wall for all your eating and drinking needs!
Men have the option of either wearing a tuxedo or a dark suit and a tie. Because men have the option of dressing in a more casual manner, the dress code is open for women too, who can wear anything from a long dress to a cocktail number.
We think the only way to sum this up is to say, dress to impress.
Special thanks to our sponsors and supporters, without them,
special events like this could not go ahead!
The Enchanted Forest Ball supports local. With that, we have partnered with the Maraetotara Tree Trust. We see huge benefits for the region in the work that they do, and wanted a way to contribute to their work. There are many ways we plan on contributing to the Maraetotara Tree Trust.
During and before The EFB, we will conduct a number of silent auctions. All the proceeds from these silent auctions will be donated to the Maraetotara Tree Trust. When you purchase a ticket to The Enchanted Forest Ball, there is an option of a small donation to the Maraetotara Tree Trust, we encourage all participants to make a small donation with their purchase.
Lastly, Etiquette and The Flagship Events Company will make a donation to the Maraetotara Tree Trust at the completion of the Enchanted Forest Ball.
